DeviantART - awesome tool

Sun Mar 8, 2009, 3:51 AM
DevianART is such a useful place. There are some amazing stock images here that I can use for reference. If I can't go abroad to take my own photos or make my own studies, there is usually someone here who has been able to do it for us :)

I'm working on a personal project at the moment, mostly for fun and to build up my portfolio. I don't have much in the way of 'illustration'...I'm seem to create one off pretty pictures instead of telling a story.

I'm creating a few illustrations for a Brother's Grimm Fairy Tale. I won't say which one just yet. The hardest part for me is deciding on the composition! Characters aren't too hard to draw, it's putting them into an environment and composition that is visually interesting that is difficult! Especially when this particular illustration has 12 characters in one scene!!

Back soon...hopefully with some illustrations to post ;)
